What are some common misconceptions people have about home healthcare, and how would you address them?

“Caregivers replace family involvement.”
Our Caregivers support families, they do not replace them. Our role is to provide extra help, relief, and peace of mind while families remain actively involved in their loved one’s care.

“Only seniors need caregivers.”
Caregiving services benefit adults of all ages, including individuals with disabilities, those recovering from surgery, busy families needing support, and anyone who needs help with daily tasks.

“Caregivers take over completely and remove independence.”
Our goal is to support independence, not take it away. Caregivers encourage clients to do what they can safely while offering help where needed.

Can you give me a few examples of situations where your services made a real difference for a client and their family?

One of our current clients has a condition that reduced his mobility so , he lived with his son and his son requested our services. Throught our time being there, we realized this client wasnt getting care for to the full potiential of what he needed and someone close to his was using all hisfinances without his knoledge as he was depressed and began to endulge in alcohol a bit too often. Once out caregiver brought it to our attention, we offered the client additional time to his service, helped the client get housing though third parties and assisted the client with programs to progress his mental health and monitor his finances. So although we didnt do it all ourselves, we got the client the help he needed with the help of our community resources.

We have a client who lives on their own and has no living kids or relatives, this client wasnt very social and started to feel less worthy. we decided to step in and help the client adjust to the circumstances they were in and some of our caregivers went as far as to invite the client to social functions to boost the clients social life. Now, after 3 month of service, this client is more social , can actually call a friend and has even lost so me of the weight aquired by depression.
